Sacred Birth Angels: Childbirth Education & Doula Services in the Bay Area

We believe that by ensuring a safe and loving space, women are empowered to have their own experience and to find their way to birth – a Sacred Rite of Passage. We respect the sacredness of birth and find that it is important to step back and simply hold a safe space. We stand as witnesses as a woman comes into her power and allows her body to lead her in ways that help to facilitate labor and birth. Only if a woman or baby needs assistance are we there to lovingly, consciously and in a non-judgmental manner offer our knowledge and support.

The philosophy of Sacred Birth Angels is about birth and supporting families during the birth transition. We act as guardians of natural childbirth and well woman care providing birthing women with education, support and guidance to ensure a healthy pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum with minimal intervention.

Sacred Birth Angels have attended births for a combined 16 years and understand that pregnancy and birth are normal processes. We work to optimize the well being of mothers and their babies as the foundation of care giving. We approach the experience of childbirth as far more than a physical event, perceiving it as a profound emotional, mental and spiritual Rite of Passage for both mother and child.

We respect the dignity, integrity and responsibility of the women we serve, recognizing that the primary caretaker and most important determinant of a healthy pregnancy and positive birth experience is the woman herself.
